What is the story behind your quest in politics?
I was interested in politics since my B.Com at the University College of Commerce. In my first year of graduation, I was elected as ABVP University Secretary. In the second year I was elected as ABVP University Unit President and in my final year I was elected as Mahanagar Mantri, ABVP.
After my graduation I was active in ABVP but I quit the post of Mahanagar Mantri, six months after going to Advent College for my MBA.
“I will make efforts and make student politics a fair play. No kinship will be entertained or accepted in student politics by the youth, this has been shown by the students in yesterday’s elections.”
What is your career perception? Your active involvement in politics shows you taking it as a fulltime job.
Yes, I will choose politics as a career and will try to gain heights in this field. I will remain associated with ABVP until I am done with my studies in the University. No plans for any sort of job right now.
After winning the election that too such a tight fight between opposition, what are you thinking right now?
I am desperate to start working on the issues that I stated in my election manifesto. The only thing churning in my mind at present is to raise the student’s voice as soon I join my office on Tuesday.
“You should believe and make others believe in you, and hard work is mandatory for success”.
What are your prime objectives in order to bring ease to the students fraternity of University?
The first work will be starting the city buses from the University campus to all major areas of the city. A memorandum for this will be given to the Vice Chancellor of MLSU and the city administration.
I will also try my level best to start Placement fairs and Job oriented courses in the University so that the students need not to go to other Universities for higher and further studies.
Wi-Fi connectivity will be provided to the whole campus of the Sukhadia University. The students then will have a good and fast environment of teaching
The issue of new recruitment in the University will be raised, and hopefully it will be implemented too.
