Freedom Fighter Honored with State Funeral

Jiyalal Trivedi, 92-year-old freedom fighter who participated actively in freedom movement, took his last breath today at his residence at Ganpati Vihar in Udaipur. His funeral procession took place with undue honor and it started from his residence in the presence of many people including top administrative officers to reach Ashok Nagar Muktidham on Monday morning where all funeral rites were performed by his grandson Sunil Shrimali.

Jiyalal Trivedi, 92-year-old freedom fighter who participated actively in the Indian freedom movement, took his last breath today at his residence at Ganpati Vihar in Udaipur.

His funeral procession took place on Monday morning with appropriate honor and it started from his residence in the presence of many people including top administrative officers, to reach Ashok Nagar Muktidham, where all funeral rites were performed by his grandson Sunil Shrimali.

Before the procession started, the dead body was wrapped in tricolor and departed for the final journey, with National honors.

On behalf of the state government, Additional District Collector (City) Mohammad Yasin presented a wreath to pay tribute to the freedom fighter.  Additional SP, Tejraj Singh and Tehsildar, Bhagwandas also paid homage to the late Trivedi by offering wreaths.

Police Guard gave salute to Trivedi before the pyre was put to fire at the funeral ground.
