Prataplal Acharya, a Freedom Fighter who actively took part in the Quit India Movement passed away today. The last rites were conducted with full state honor at Ashok Nagar Cemetery.

Prataplal Acharya, a Freedom Fighter who actively took part in the Quit India Movement passed away today. The last rites were conducted with full state honor at Ashok Nagar Cemetery.

On behalf of the State Government, Mohammad Yaseen Pathan (ADM City) garlanded the corpse. Raghuveer Singh Meena MP, Trilok Purbia, former MLA and Laxmi Narayan Pandya etc were also present at the cemetery.

About Prataplal Acharya:

Prataplal Acharya was born on 24th September 1920 at Rajnagar (Rajsamand District). He was the third son among four siblings of Tarachand Acharya.

Prataplal Acharya pursued his education in Udaipur and worked on the several positions including Head Master and Education Officer.

He took part in the Quit India Movement in 1942 and was jailed for 5 days. Prataplal Acharya is survived by two sons and three daughters.
