A reported incident of a good samaritan at work was demonstrated yesterday towards early afternoon. As reported by one of our readers, Sakina Dawood, who works in th Department of Mines and Geology - she was driving back from work towards home for lunch, and unawares, her handbag fell of her scooter.
On the firt signal where she stopped, she realised that her hand bag had fallen off and was no where to be seen. She drove back on the route she came from and asked a few policemen on the way if her handbag was seen on the road or whether someone had picked it up and given it to the policemen on traffic duty at that time. Getting a negative reponse from al of them, a distraught Sakina proceeded home and when she was near the Shiksha Bhawan roundabout, she recieved recieved phone calls from her office, on the mobiel she was carrying in her scooter.
Her office boy informed her that a certain Moti Singh Ranawat, who was an advocate by profession, had picked up her handbag and it was lying safe in his chamber at the Court.
Sakina rushed to the Court and found her handbag intact with the money, cards, passport and PAN card. The samaritan, Ranawat told her that while he was driving to court, he saw the handbag on the road and picked it up lest it gets stolen.
After searching for the coordinates of the owner, he eventually called her office and informed that the bag was safe with him. Honest has no equivalent and Advocate Ranawat proved it yet again.
