Namit Mehta to Get Highest National Honour of Bharat Scouts and Guides
Silver Elephant Awardwill be presented at Raj Bhavan in Lucknow during Diamond Jubilee and National Jamboree finale
Udaipur, Nov 25, 2025 - Udaipur District Collector Namit Mehta has been selected for the prestigious Silver Elephant Award for the year 2022-23. He will receive this award at the National Adult Award Presentation Ceremony of Bharat Scouts and Guides, organised by the National Headquarters on November 26 in Uttar Pradesh.
Collector Mehta, who was earlier District Collector of Pali, is being awarded this highest honour for his outstanding leadership, exemplary management, and remarkable services rendered during the National Jamboree held in Pali.
National Chief Commissioner Dr KK Khandelwal informed that the award will be presented by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel, at 3:00 pm at Raj Bhavan, Lucknow. The event will be a part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and the grand finale of the 19th National Jamboree.
During the ceremony, several adult Scout and Guide leaders selected from all over the country will be honoured for the year 2022-23 with awards including the Silver Elephant, Bar to Silver and Silver Awards. These honours are presented by the National Award Committee to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the Scout and Guide movement.
