Nairuti Sanghavi – CSR, Hindustan Zinc, Zawar Mines has been awarded with Grant Thornton SABERA 2019 Awards – Promising Social Leader (under-30) Category.

Sanghavi was presented with the award for her contribution to Hindustan Zinc’s Women Empowerment program – ‘Sakhi’.

She received the award at a ceremony held at Teen Murti in New Delhi on 4 December, 2019.  Speakers at the awards ceremony included Deep Kalra (Founder MakeMyTrip) and Umeshwar Srivastav, Founder SSCF.

‘Sakhi’ Program has been contributing to women’s socio-economic well-being and is focusing on promoting savings as a habit. The project is directly touching the lives of more than 24,000 women.

About Grant Thornton SABERA Awards

The brain child of Suparnaa Chadda, a marketing and media veteran, Grant Thornton SABERA Awards showcased its maiden edition in December 2018, for which it received overwhelming accolades. The award categories are based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and are awarded for promoting sustainable development to corporates, NGOs and social workers focussing towards such.

The award jury for the 2019 edition was led by former Britannia MD and CEO, Vinita Bali and comprised of leading personalities viz.
