ICWAI conducts seminar on CAT at Shramjeevi College

A seminar on Certificate in Accounting Technician course (CAT) was organized today at Shramjeevi College, by the Commerce Department. L. Gurumurti, Director, The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) explained the course details to the students, in the event.

A seminar on Certificate in Accounting Technician course (CAT) was organized today at Shramjeevi College, by the Commerce Department. L. Gurumurti, Director, The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) explained the course details to the students, in the event.

Gurumurti stated, “The course is framed around the role of Junior Accountants, which applies in Industrial and Government fields”. He also added that by the year 2020, around 20 Lac accountants would be needed in various sectors involving Industrial and Government based fields.

CAT qualified students can get direct admission in intermediate level of ‘Cost & Works Accountants’, run by the ICWAI. “After the completion of ICWA course, the future possibilities for certified students is very bright”, he further explained.

Students asked many questions and their queries were solved by L. Gurumurti. The event was led by Dr. C.P. Agrawal and he addressed students, saying that such courses can prove to be very useful in shaping the career of youth.

The programme was managed by Ankit Jain and vote of thanks was presented by Satyanarayan Salvi.
