With the advancement of technology, transport facilities are easily available in today’s world. Every house has some or the other vehicle available for transportation. From two-wheelers to four-wheelers, the roads can be seen full of vehicles, so much so to the extent of traffic jams(that’s the irony).  And it is not just traffic jams, but excess of vehicles has even narrowed down lanes. Well, that’s a different point altogether.

When it comes to vehicles, most of us know how to drive…some drive well, some drive fairly well and some are rash drivers. Roads are bad in villages and city, both. But a machine can fail anywhere anytime; it’s a machine so that’s what they say. The trouble arises when all of a sudden a vehicle breaks down. It could be a puncture, a flat tyre or engine failure…just anything. It becomes much troublesome especially with females. It is not even possible for just everybody to change a flat tyre.

Gopi Shankar Sharma of Udaipur came up with this start up idea of Mobile compressor and workshop to assist people with a breakdown in their vehicles. Gopi Shankar says that he got the idea of this start up after his daughter-in-law and daughters faced problems with their two-wheelers on road. He had an old vehicle lying at home. He fixed a trolley behind that two wheeler and added a compressor tank to it. The trolley is heavy enough to carry weight upto 1 ½ quintal. He also has a good multipurpose tool box with which he can manage almost anything. Inflating tyres, changing tyre-tubes, battery, clutch wire, spark plug and even facilities of providing petrol & diesel are part of his services. Up to one and half kilometres he doesn’t take service charges, beyond that charges depend on time and type of work.

Gopi Shankar gives the credit for his creative abilities to the Vidhya Bhawan school teachers and his father under whose guidance he has been successful enough to put his creativity to work.
