Born on 25th December 1982, this young Marble Sculptor has engraved many designs of his own on stones, marble, granites etc. His fine art can be seen in the products which he makes with his full devotion and dedication.

Mohammed Hanif has been doing this work for almost last 12 years in Udaipur. He was highly influenced by the other marble sculptors when he saw them doing this type of art work. Late M.F. Hussain being his ideal, Mohammed Hanif started drawing his paintings and arts on marble and stones and gradually this became his passion.

So far he has carved many attractive works and a few of them including Mahakaleshwar Temple on marble stone, Mini World Cup Trophy, 3/4th inch Shiv Temple, National Flag of India on marble stone are his masterpieces. His art was also praised by President Pratibha Patil when he gifted a marble cut miniature of Mahakaleshwar Mandir to her during her visit to Udaipur in May 2011. Previously, he presented the Indian National Flag to former president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and also some of his art work to Acharya Mahapragya.

Mohammed Hanif also claims that during mining in Neemuch (MP) he found a stone that has Allah written in Gujarati. He displayed that stone to our correspondent and confidently says that he is the only person who possesses this original stone.

Hanif’s work has been recognised at district level and was awarded in the function held on 15th August 2011.

Hanif believes, “Any art can give you recognition and fame if you have passion towards it and when God has given us two hands to make our future we must work for our Self Esteem.”

Udaipur Tiimes.com salutes this artist and his art and wishes him all the success in Life.
