Above all the other was a green colored octopus which could be even seen from distant places. Generally octopuses are not so beautiful but this kite shaped was very cute. Just after that in the air was a kite on which a woodpecker sitting on branch was drawn. Some other flying kites were in shape of snake, Chinese kite and face with tentacles. Mr. Abdul Qadir gave the message of water conservation by flying a yellow colored kite with a slogan “Paani Bachao” (Save Water).

Mr. Abdul Malik aired the sensation of the day. Kite in shape of our national animal Tiger. It costed him a lot of sweat and tactics to build and take it in air, as soon as it was air borne the beauty of the kite made everyone speechless. All the colors and drawings made it simply the best thing. The interesting thing about this kite was that whenever the string was pulled down, kite jumped in air like a tiger walking or jumping to hunt down a prey. This tiger shaped kite was aimed to spread  the message of saving tigers “only 1411 left”.

Fifth animal kite was a flying cow. To add to the joy and fun, popular music tracks were played on the music system. I was unable to stop myself shaking on WAKA WAKA Shakira this time for Africa. The wind in Fatehsagar Lake relieved the crowd from scorching heat.

In the city people enjoyed kite flying from roof tops, children and grown ups spent quality time and money on kites and thread. Sounds of cheering “Katt Hai” was audible every now and then.
