Labdhi to participate in European Championship
8-year old skater from Udaipur, Labdhi Surana, will be taking part in European skating championship to be held in Austria and Germany from 1-3 June. The child prodigy from Udaipur has already won 60+ medals in speed skating including 3 Gold medals and is eyeing more accomplishments in the upcoming championship.
8-year old skater from Udaipur, Labdhi Surana, will be taking part in European skating championship to be held in Austria and Germany from 1-3 June. The child prodigy from Udaipur has already won 60+ medals in speed skating including 3 Gold medals and is eyeing more accomplishments in the upcoming championship.
Labdhi’s coach Manjeet Singh Gehlot informed that the championship will be held in Austria from 1-3 June and in Germany from 8-10 June. The championship will be organised in 7-stages and Labdhi will participate in 2 of those stages.
It may be noted that some of the world’s best speed skaters will be participating in the event. To hone up her chances, Labdhi has been practicing for the past 2 months in Pune under Belgian coach Quinton Toss.
Labdhi is youngest Indian to have won so many national and international medals at such a tender age. Labdhi was awarded with the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement-2017 by President Ramnath Kovind.
