Vinay Rathi said that he had been training his kids about the path for quite some time and was very excited on the completion. This place is often crowded in summers with a large number of people taking up the walk during this time. On an average, walking a distance of about 25kms daily helps in covering the path in about 32-35 days.

Vinay Rathi further informed that the route starts from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and passes through Pamplona, Burgos, Lyon and other smaller cities.
