Udaipur’s prince Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar was felicitated by President of India today at Central Tourism Ministry’s Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Lakshyaraj was given the award in his capacity as the CEO of HRH group of hotels.

Fateh Prakash palace falling under HRH Group of hotels was awarded as the Best hotel under heritage (grand) category in the National Tourism awards. Towards that President Ram Nath Kovind felicitated Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar.

The event saw the presence of various ministers and senior administrative staff members from the Centre.

Speaking on the occasion, President Kovind said that hotels are the backbone of tourism development. Whenever a tourist goes to any location, he/she first makes an enquiry about the stay arrangements. He, hence, felt that it was apt that hotels were awarded on World Tourism Day.
