MLSU marked its 20th Convocation ceremony in the presence of esteemed guest, Margaret Alva, Governor of Rajasthan. The program was held at MLSU auditorium.

MLSU marked its 20th Convocation ceremony in the presence of esteemed guest, Margaret Alva, Governor of Rajasthan. The program was held at MLSU auditorium.

Margaret Alva honored 34 students of 2011 batch with Gold Medals. 18 from Science stream, 15 from Commerce, 11 from Social science, 6 from Humanities, 4 from Teaching and 2 students from Law stream were at the ceremony.

The program was started with national anthem and after traditional welcoming of Governor by HoDs of all respective departments, the program continued with honoring ceremony of students.

Sharing her confidence on those who won medals in the convocation, Margret Alva said, “I believe and put faith on all who have achieved recognition today that they will contribute in the nation’s development”.

“Udaipur is a tribal area and it needs contribution of educated youth to help in growth of underprivileged population and I hope University will come forward and assist in this”, said the Governor.

Praising the achievements of MLSU, Margret Alva said that, MLSU has always turned out as a pioneer in various aspects, MLSU already joined into Knowledge Commission and this shows that students are been nurtured here to get prepared for the market, MLSU is also the first one to start biometric attendance for its employees.

In his address, Prof. I. V. Trivedi said, “MLSU is the first university to complete the first phase of hiring teachers”. “MLSU is affiliated with 190 colleges, to persuade sport of rock climbing, we have made rock climbing wall with an investment of Rs. 13 lac”, added the Professor.

Adding prestige to University, Vice-Chancellor mentioned several notable achievements of MLSU, including, tie-up with UGC InfiLab Net Center, currently working on ‘Ganga Research Project’ project; development of Nano Technical Center and the hosting of 38th All India Socialist Conference at the end of this month, more than 1500 member s are expected to participate.

District Collector Vikas S. Bhale, S. P. Hariprasad Sharma, and University’s Management officials, lectures and other department Officials were present at the ceremony.
