A felicitation ceremony recognising excellence in sports was organised in the seminar hall in the new premise at MLSU. The ceremony was organised to mark National Sports Day and recognise excellence in various sporting fields.

MLSU Sports Board incharge, Dr Deependra Singh Chauhan informed that Surendra Kumar was awarded Rs 51,000/- for getting Gold Medal in Decathalon in National Inter-University Championships. Bhavana Jat was awarded Rs 31,000/- for getting Silver Medal in 5km walk in the same championships. Mahek Sanadhiya, winner of the bronze medal at All India Inter-University Women Boxing Championship was awarded Rs 21,000/-.

Men’s hockey team of MLSU was awarded Rs 1,51,000/- for winning the Western Region Inter-University hockey championship.

Besides this, men and women participants who secured a top-30 rank in the Inter-University championships were awarded memento along with certificates.
