The Women Basket Ball team of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University would be participating in the All India Zonal Inter University Basket Ball Championship, which is to be held in Bhubhaneshwar, Orissa where the team would be vying for the All India Zonal honours.

In this All India Inter Zonal Basket Ball Tournament, 16 teams are participating after competing in the West Zone Championship, held around a month back in which the Universities of West Zone had participated. MLSU secured the Silver Medal in the West Zone and have thus made it through to the All India Tournament.

According to D. S. Chouhan, Secretary, MLSU Sports Board, a part of the qualifying round for All India Tournament is organized at the Zonal Level where Universities of West, South, North and East compete University teams of their respective Zone and the top four teams qualify for the Inter Zonal Competition.
