MMFAA declares State level achievers, Award Function on 3rd March
For the 32nd Annual Award Function of Maharana Mewar Foundation Annual Award (MMFAA), list of state level awardees was announced today. Head Trustee and Chairman of the Foundation, Arvind Singh Mewar will felicitate the achievers in a special ceremony at City Palace premises on 3rd March 2013.

In the past 31 years, foundation has honored 3832 renowned national and international personalities for their accomplishments in various fields.
Maharana Mewar Award, an honor given to a person who has spread education, spirit and moral values in society, will be given to Dr. Surnedramal Mohnot (left in photo above) from Jodhpur, who received international acclamation for his special research on human science, and Pandit Purshottam Gaud (right in photo above) from Jaipur, for his water preservation program. Pandit Purshottam has pioneered water harvesting system in Temples.
Harit Rashi Award is for those personalities who dedicated their life in providing outstanding services in Jyotish, Vedas and other religious customs. Jaipur’s Ramanandacharya, Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan Sanskrit College Prof. Ramanuj Devnaath (left in photo above) and Ajmer’s Pandit Satyanarayan Shastri (right in photo above) will be honored with Harit Rashi Award.
Maharana Kumbha Award is an honor to those who served in the field of Indian Culture, Literature and History. Well known Historian and Writer, Dr. Reema Huja, who has spend much of her life in Jaipur and Shyam Sunder Bhatt, a renowned author will be honored with Maharana Kumbha Award.
Maharana Sajjan Singh Award will be given to Jaipur’s Prithviraj Kumawat for his marvelous artwork of Nakkashi, Kumawat is proficient in diminutive handicraft work of wooden, metal, rock and gems.
Dagar Gharana Award in the field of Music will be given to the first professional tabla player, Anuradha Pal. Anuradha has showcased her talent by performing with many world famous musicians.
Rana Punja Award will be given to Shankar Lal Dama, who worked for spreading education in the tribal areas of Kherwada tehsil, and to the Founder and President of Mahi Sagar Foundation, Prakriti Kharadi, who fought and struggled for the tribes suffering from poverty, hunger and illiteracy in the far off regions.

Arawali Award, awarded in the field of sports, will be bestowed upon young shooter Apoorvi Chandela and international weight lifter Bhupendra Kumar Vyas for their performance.
The awardees will be presented with Rs. 25000, Silver Toran, Shawl and a certificate.
Coordinator, Dr Gupta informed that two special awards will be given to Chaman Singh Chauhan (right in photo above) and Vinay Bhanawat (left in photo above). Chaman Singh is well known among the public for his works dedicated to conserving wildlife whereas Bhanawat is awarded for his rare collection of Indian currency with their unique numbers.
