Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will start AC Volvo buses from Mumbai to Udaipur in the first fortnight of December.

MSRTC will instigate 10 new AC Volvo buses; 6 of these will be AC semi-Sleeper Variety which will be put to inter-state Services connecting Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur to the urban areas of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh and remaining 4 will be regular AC-Volvo buses that are reserved for tier-2 cities such as Thane, Nashik and Aurangabad.

Many private transportation companies had already started providing the comfort of Volvo buses long back and Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) also started their Volvo services between Udaipur-Jaipur and Udaipur-Jodhpur last year. However, there was no such service available on Udaipur-Mumbai route till date by any government transport corporation.

It’s not feasible for all to travel via private transportation. Comfort and budget are the main concerns of a common man when long journey is in question and this initiative of MSRTC is sure to serve both the purposes.
