“Non-resident Gujarati Card, Health Card and Travel Cards are few recently announced schemes which is highly beneficial for non-resident Gujaratis”, said Mehta.
He also informed, “There are 6000 Gujaratis in Rajasthan and around 2000 in Udaipur.”
Mehta said, “Every city where Gujarati lives has its own community hall for gathering and social functions but Jodhpur and Abu Road has no such gathering places. Now soon both places will have their own community halls.”
Societies not only host social functions, but also conduct programs for students and youth, like honor giving ceremony for top students, get together of bachelors etc.
