Mrs. Mohini Bakshi, founder of the Seedling group of schools, breathed her last on 10th July 2021.

A true woman of substance, she started her journey modestly with Seedling Nursery School and went on to establish Seedling Public School and Seedling Modern High School, Jaipur and Seedling Modern Public School, Udaipur, followed by Jaipur National University. A flagship that has turned into an embodiment of exemplary commitment and outstanding leadership in the field of education.

With the courage of her convictions, her superb values and her contagious energy, Ma’am Bakshi (as she was lovingly called by her students and staff alike) brought about terrifically revolutionary changes in the field of education and became a brand ambassador of Women’s empowerment, winning several accolades and honours for her outstanding humanitarian contributions in all walks of life.

Mrs. Mohini Bakshi always took a keen interest in all her schools, at all levels, from planning the curriculum to developing and designing activities and assignments to hone the skills of all students under the umbrella of Seedling. Over the years, she pioneered innovations to consistently enhance learning and instruction at all levels, painstakingly working through ideas to do something different and dynamic to foster a challenging, enlightened and collaborative environment in all of her schools.

What put her in a league of her own was an unmatched level of kindness, a truly loving and generous spirit and the magnanimous heart of an angel. With her tremendous ability to love and empathise, she was accessible to students, parents and staff alike and served as an excellent guide, mentor, facilitator and counsellor.

Mrs. Bakshi reached her end, having led a rare-air life, playing at a standard of concentrated brilliance and holding herself up to the highest standards in everything she did. The great deeds that she did will endure long after her exit from the stage of life and she will stand forever as a model of possibility and potential.

Despite her busy schedule, she continued to be a doting mother and a grandmother and reveled in her family’s love, cherishing each moment as she saw them grow. It was fitting that her two sons, Dr. Sandeep and Hardeep Bakshi honoured, respected and admired her, providing her a deservedly dignified environment to enjoy life as she entered her more senior years. Cultivating and nurturing beautiful relations with all, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, travelling, yoga and communing with nature.

Ma’am Bakshi touched countless hearts in very special ways that one can never ever accurately articulate with the mere tools of earthly written words. She epitomized the richness of humanity and she enveloped every situation with such class, conviction, charm, compassion and a character of immeasurable superiority. She was indeed, and will always be a timeless icon, a legend who leaves behind an indelible imprint in the “sands of time”

Hardeep Bakshi, her son, is the Director of Seedling Modern Public School, Udaipur and the growth that Seedling School has seen in Udaipur is a result of the implementation of the vision set forth by Mrs. Mohini Bakshi.
