Since hundreds of years, the City Palace of Udaipur has been a witness to various historical, commercial and social reforms and movements. The legendry ancestors of Shriji Arvind Singh ji have guarded Udaipur from any manmade disgrace and the legacy is persistently carried on by the 67-year old sovereign, custodian, philanthropic Shreeji.

The Chairman and Managing Trustee of the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation Udaipur, Shriji is continuously involved in numerous social and health related work.

The Maharana Mewar Charitable foundation, Vidyan Trust, Maharana Mewar Historical Publication Trust and Raj Mata Gulab Kunwar Charitable Trust have emerged as public charitable trusts responsible for more than 50 development projects in and around Udaipur.

The City Palace Museum, Maharana Mewar Special Library, Maharana Mewar Research Institute, the publications division and educational institute are some of the key projects that have been managed and developed by the trust.

The Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur was instituted to serve and assist each and every individual to realize its special status in the hierarchy of God’s creation and to serve as a temple of inspiration to future generation.

The foundation was established upon the principle of trusteeship, which are its underlined structure and strength, the objective is to make Udaipur a destination for pursuit of excellence.

Shriji has been honored by number of national and international organizations for his contribution in development, coordination and assistances. He has been awarded an honorary membership of The Grenadiers Association and took the Grenadiers Oath on 27^th March 2011. The Hall of Fame Award by the Indian association of Tour Operators for the year 2009, TATA AIG Lifetime Achievement Award by Galileo Express Travel World for 2008, the prestigious Agastya Award by the Travel Agents Association of India for year 2001 and recently he has been awarded by Hello! Magazine Hall of Fame – Royal of the Year 2011 Award.

Shrijji has also been an active member of prestigious World Travel and Tourism Council for the government of Rajasthan. He has been the advisor to the Rajiv Gandhi Tourism Development Mission, an executive member of the Rajasthan foundation. On the National advisory board of Jaipur Virasat Foundation, an honorary patron of the Jaipur Heritage International festival.

An avid pilot, a passionate polo player and a fan of Indian Classical Music, Shriji Arvind Singh ji Mewar is also a successful hotelier. Operating HRH Group of Hotels as Chairman and Managing Director, his audacious approach and reformative thoughts has changed the spectrum of the Royal Heritage crown added with more vibrant and colorful pearls of glory to it.
