Parents of differently abled Children attend workshop
150 parents from Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat took part with their differently abled children in the 9th Regional Parents Meet that was held today at Ashwin Vatika, Fatehpura.
150 parents from Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat took part with their differently abled children in the 9th Regional Parents Meet that was held today at Ashwin Vatika, Fatehpura.
The two day program is organized by The National Confederation of Parents’ Organizations for Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in association with Prachya Shodh Peeth (PRAYAS). The program is backed by The National Institute for Mentally Handicapped (NIMH), Secunderabad.
6 Specialists have taken part in the workshop including Lt. Col. V. K Gautam, Binapani Mahapatra, Dr. Diwakar Shah, Vishnu Patel, Sudip Goyal and Prof. Surendra Bahuguna who shared their views and information to the parents.
Sunita Bhandari, secretary of PRAYAS organization said that every parent expressed their feelings in this program as this workshop is connected with emotions itself.
Bhandari informed that many local NGOs including Samanvay Charitable and students of Social Science also contributed in making the workshop successful.
The motive of the workshop was to create awareness among the parents of differently abled.
The volunteers of Samanvay Charitable Organization also presented cultural programs to entertain the children.
