Personality Development – maiden book launch by Udaipur Professors
Udaipur's Dr. Rukhsana Saifee, Assistant Professor with Chartered Institute of Technology, Abu Road and Dr. Mehzbeen Sadriwala, currently with Shramjivee College, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, achieved a professional landmark when their maiden authorship venture, "Professional Management and Communication" was launched on Saturday, 4 November
Udaipur’s Dr. Rukhsana Saifee, Assistant Professor with Chartered Institute of Technology, Abu Road and Dr. Mehzbeen Sadriwala, currently with Shramjivee College, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, achieved a professional landmark when their maiden authorship venture, “Professional Management and Communication” was launched on Saturday, 4 November.
A two day international seminar was organised at the Chartered Institute of Technology, Abu Road on 4-5 November. Titled “Contemporary Trends in English Language and Literature – Exploring post 2000AD Writing”, the seminar was conducted under the joint association of Rajasthan Society for Studies in English and Department of English language, CIT, Abu Road.
About the book
Rukhsana and Mehzbeen’s maiden venture, “Personality Management and Communication” looks at effective communication skill as an inherent element of personality development. “The gist of the book lies in amalgamating the qualities and attributes of an individual into her or his eventual character and image”, say Dr. Rukhsana. Dr. Mehzbeen added, “It deals with moving a soul from and inherent and disinterested state to becoming an enthusiastic, zealous and motivated one”.
About the Authors
DR. RUKHSANA SAIFEE
Pursuing her professional interests as Assistant Professor with the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Chartered Institute of Technology since 2009, Dr Rukhsana completed her PhD in English literature from JRNRV University. Prior to this, Dr. Rukhsana received her PG Diploma in Journalism from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. Her research interests lie on the areas of communication skills and journalism. Variation accompanied with clarity and reality in her voice makes her a very good communicator. In love with the alphabet, Dr Rukhsana contributes online articles on platforms like UdaipurTimes AbuTimes. As a freelancer, she enjoys writing about life, relationships and happiness. Her social interests also include working for the underprivileged.
DR. MEHZABEEN SADRIWALA
Having completed her schooling from St. Mary’s School, Udaipur and post graduation with Pacific University (English Literature) Dr. Mehzbeen is pursuing her pedagogy career with MV Shramjeevi college, Udaipur. She also holds a Diploma in Business Communication and shares her knowledge and experience in spoken language, soft skills, personality development and grooming by way of conducting special classes in Personality Development and soft skills for students of Hotel Management and Tourism at MLSU. Her teaching experience of 7 years includes imparting knowledge to under graduate, post graduate and MPhil students. Core areas of interest in teaching include English Literature, Grammar, Communication techniques, ELT, ESP, Poetry, Composition and of course, Personality development. Having received awards by many societies for her excellence in education, Dr. Mehzbeen hold credit for having received the first position at the 9th National Youth Parliament competition organised by the Ministry of Parliamentary affairs.
Dr. Rukhsana Saifee, also the Organizing Secretary of the 2 day International Seminar, said that the seminar, which began with a welcome address by the Director of the Chartered Institute of Technology, Tejas Shah, was attended by dignitaries from across India and abroad. Suman Bala, Professor, Delhi University and Chief Editor of Indian Journal of English Studies was the key note speaker – she threw light on the gist of the topic for the seminar. Chief Guest, VC, Rajasthan Technical University, NP Kaushik expressed his views on the importance of such seminars, for complementing technical and professional studies. Special guest at the event, UIT Chairman Suresh Kothari said that such seminars and events add to the benefits of the residents of Abu Road and are important for their overall development.
Vice President RASE, Prof. Hemendra Chandalia spoke about the previous seminars conducted by RASE and praised the college administration for their efforts. Prof. Khanagwal, who has done immense research on the ancient Chandrawati settlement and culture of Abu and currently working in Archaeological department at Rajasthan Vidyapeeth was honored during the event. Rishabh Gandhi gave the note of thanks at the end of the first day of the seminar.
