Public Relations Society’s Jaipur Chapter honoured Pavan Kaushik, Head of Corporate Communication of Hindustan Zinc with “Excellence in Corporate Communication-2016” for his valuable contribution towards promotion of social causes.  The Award was presented to Pavan Kaushik by Kalicharan Sharaf, Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Government of Rajasthan, in the presence of almost 150 public relations professionals that included high-level officials from Government of Rajasthan.

Pavan Kaushik has been into the area of Corporate Communication and Public Relations for the last almost 3 decades and joined Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company, in 2007. Prior Hindustan Zinc, Pavan Kaushik has worked 11 years in Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India and about 8 years in fashion industry as Media Head of National Institute of Fashion Technology(NIFT).

In his long spread career, Pavan Kaushik has launched several government campaigns like AIDS Awareness, New Economic Policy, Rural Development, Child Care & Education, Immunization,  National Integration & Communal Harmony, 50 years of India’s Independence, National and International Film Festivals, Income Tax, Adult Education, Girl Child etc. to name a few. When in NIFT, Pavan Kaushik launched Fashion Communication Department and taught fashion communication as Associate Professor. He played a key role in making NIFT a deemed university.

In about 9 years  in Hindustan  Zinc, he has launched two highly acclaimed social projects, “Khushi” on care for the deprived children and “Sakhi” that is bringing economic empowerment in rural and tribal women in Rajasthan. Both the campaigns have millions of followers globally and recognized one of the most impactful campaigns. The “Khushi” film has already reached over 1.5 crore people with thousands of comments and shares.

Pavan Kaushik has already been honoured earlier by Times of India, Press Club, Udaipur (Lake City Club), Rotary International (Mewar), Nippon Japan, and now Public Relations Society Jaipur Chapter. Author of book Me Within Myself and a regular speaker and column writer on motivation and communication, Pavan Kaushik’s article on declaration of 5 days week by the Central Government was acclaimed all over India, winning him the first prize.
