July 2, 2025 - IPL champion Royal Challengers Bangalore's fast bowler Yash Dayal may face more trouble. The woman who accused him of sexual exploitation on the pretext of marriage has recorded her statement with the police. She has also submitted evidence proving her long-term relationship with Yash.
She had filed a complaint through the IGRS (Integrated Grievance Redressal System) portal, accusing the cricketer of sexual harassment on the pretext of marriage.
The police have issued a notice to Yash, asking him to record his statement. In her complaint, the woman said she met Yash about five years ago through social media. They first became friends and later reportedly fell in love. Yash allegedly promised to marry her and they stayed in a relationship for a long time.
Went for Outings Together
According to her, Yash helped her family financially and also took her to Bengaluru and Ooty several times, where they stayed together in hotels and resorts for many days. The woman has shared chats with the cricketer on Instagram and other platforms as evidence. She has also given other supporting documents to the police.
The woman claimed that Yash later got involved with other girls. At first, she decided to end her relationship with him but later, to get justice, she approached the police.
Police Probe Underway
After receiving the complaint, the police started their investigation. ACP Abhishek Srivastava confirmed that the case is being looked into. The complainant's statement has been recorded, and a notice has been sent to Yash to give his side of the story. Further action will be taken after his statement is recorded.
