Bullet, the Royal Enfield Motorcycle symbolizes masculinity, liberty and a paramount passion for a group of 16 motorcyclists of Udaipur.

Their extreme love for their firing beauties, is not just taking it for a long frenziedly rides to the countryside, but nurturing an extraordinary bond between man and machine.

Bullies, as they love to call themselves are one such motorcyclists group in Udaipur.

Jaideep Singh Mertiya and Dhananjay Singh Chauhan founded the group of bullet riders in Nov 2011 to promote the vintage motorcycle, that served Royal Palaces and Armies of several nations till World War II; the Bullet is still a favorite of many.

“Besides our passion for the Bullet, we are also fond of nature and exploring faraway places”, says Jaideep.

He proudly said, “When we started the group, we were just three but within four months our group reached to sixteen Bullet riders.”

The oldest motorcycle in the group is of 1962 model of a member Yash Nagda. “I purchased the bike for Rs 40,000 and so far I have already spent Rs 80,000 on its modification. Now, I am planning to spend Rs 40,000 for further improvements”, he speaks.

Most of the Motorcycles are partially modified with identical tailored handles, while some are one-seated to give it a modern look. The Bullies attract other motorists from wherever they pass.

“Till now we used to ride mostly landscapes, 40km around Udaipur, the longest journey we made yet is to Ahmedabad and we seriously enjoyed”, says Raj Singh Parihar.

Raj also admitted that their common dream is to rode till Leh, Laddakh. “Before that, Jaisalmer and Goa are in the list”, says Raj Singh.

Because of its low mileage, Bullet often makes it hard to afford but passion doesn’t mind the pocket; the group consisting of students and professionals, keep their momentum ignited and that ultimately leads them to roads of freedom.

“Riding a Bullet makes us feel in heaven”, says Ajay Singh Rathore, a group member.
