Iora & the Quest of Five, a fantasy-fiction portrays the adventures that are finely stored inside the thickly rainforest of Twitterland. Iora, the lead character, is a cute dazzling 11-year-old girl, who sets out for an exploration to a different world, outside her comforting days.

The book Iora & the Quest of Five was launched yesterday in New Delhi’s Bahri Kids Book Store by Shashi Tharoor.

The book is authored by Arefa Tehsin, an Udaipur born writer and environmentalist has lived major part of her childhood and teenage with her father Dr. Raza. H. Tehsin, one of the famous forest conservator of Udaipur exploring the dense forests around Udaipur. In her own words, Arefa is a reading, writing and jungle addict.

After a glitzy launch in Mumbai on 25th Aug by activist Shabana Azmi, Iora & the Quest of Five hits Delhi stores.

Published by FingerPrint, Delhi based publisher, Iora & the Quest of Five has by now impressed various prominent readers, including Shabana Azmi who quoted, “A spirited tale…Iora will leave you enchanted”.

It is an enthralled tale set in a hidden rainforest, an enjoyable and thrilling adventure targeted not just at children and young adults, but also lovers of fantasy fiction. According to the review wrote by Yatin Gupta on his blog , “The story begins, when Heron leaves for an excursion leaving her daughter Iora with her grandfather, Cockatoo, and the curious Iora gets bitten by a rogue thorn worm, while she goes out for a long awaited task. While, she goes numb after getting bitten by the worm, she hears certain voices saying, they need her father’s blood to proceed with their objective. This marks the beginning of Iora’s quest of five. “

“She starts her journey to Wacky Wilderness, a captivated jungle, with a dwarf named Beetle and her childhood bosom foe Owlus, who joins them in between. During their quest, they meet a lot of jungle clans and come across a lot of weird things. During her quest, she finds out, it’s not just about her father, whose life is on stake, the entire jungle is condemned.”

The book contains 28 chapters printed in 304 pages. The cover page showcases portrait of girl with green eyes and curly hairs looking over a deep jungle through casement.

The book is available across all leading book stores in the country and also on online stores.
