Past Member of Parliament, P.Bhanukumar Shastri was today awarded the Shikhar Sadhna award on the occasion of Sanskrit Day. The award was given at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur at a state level ceremony.

In the absence of Shastri, Hrishikesh Sharma took the award on his behalf. He was presented with a certificate of honour, bouquet, shawl and a cheque of Rs 1 Lakh rupees.

Higher Education minister Kalicharan Sarraf, Minister of State for primary and secondary education, Prof Vasudev Devnani, President of Sanskrit Academy, Jaya Dave, Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education, Rajhans Upadhyaya etc were present on the occasion.
