While the administration and the Government may be doing their bit in making Udaipur a Smart City, there are also citizens who are contributing more than their bit in adding to city’s beauty.

Artist Kailash Jingar is one such proactive smart citizen of Udaipur. He not only cleaned up the messy road in the internal walled city area of Syahi waalon ki gali but also painted both sides of the walls around the road with beautiful ethnic Rajasthani paintings.

Kailash painted elements related to Mewar tradition including horses, elephants, camels, torans showcasing marriage elements etc. He also put elements of miniature art in sections of the wall.

The narrow road was earlier notorious for filth and people even used it for open urination and defecation. After Kailash’s cleaning up exercise and painting, this road has now become a photo point for all visitors with tourist clicking the walls everytime they cross by it.
