Usha Choudhary, an active social worker from Udaipur’s Vikalp NGO was honored in a recently held program ‘Celebrating Womanhood’ in Delhi’s New Indian International Center.
Usha Choudhary, an active social worker from Udaipur’s Vikalp NGO was honored in a recently held program ‘Celebrating Womanhood’ in Delhi’s New Indian International Center.
Usha Choudhary was awarded ‘Jijabai Award 2014’ for her outstanding contribution in women related issues like preventing child marriage etc. The program was organized by Women Development Cell of Shivaji College, Delhi University.
The prize was given by Najma Heptullah , Rajya Sabha member, Maitri Pushpa, writer and Suhasini Haider, senior editor at CNN.
On the occasion, Usha Choudhary expressed her gratitude towards every woman who directly or indirectly contributed in making the world a better and peaceful place to live.
With Usha, Saba Haji from Kashmir, Vimla Kaul from Delhi, Manju Singhania from Uttarakhand, Shobha Lal from Haryana, acid survivor Laxmi and Dr. Laxmi Gautam from Vrindavan were also awarded.
