Sudhir Baxi elected as president of State Badminton Association
Udaipur’s Sudhir Baxi has been elected as the president of the Rajasthan State Badminton Association. The election, held on Wednesday 9th July, also saw K.K. Sharma become the secretary of the association unopposed.

This is the third time both Baxi and Sharma have won their respective positions. For president’s post, Sudhir Baxi defeated Dilip Shivpuri by 26-2 whereas, for the position of treasurer, Chunsingh Bhati won over Manoj Dasot with 18-10. Other positions were allotted to officials who stood unopposed during the election while national player Brijraj Singh was appointed as the coach of the state team.
The executive board members consists of Sudhir Baxi (President), K.K Sharma (Secretary), Chunsingh Bhati (Treasurer), Somratan Arya, Suryaveer Sharma, Sunil Kalani, Randheer Singh and Mangalchand Ranga (Vice Presidents), Pramod Lavania (Joint Secretary), Anil Parikh, Rakesh Puranik, Ashish Maheshwari, Thakurmal Sharma, Mohammad Zakir Hussain, Rohit Arya, Chandresh Sharma, Mahendra Diwakar, B.K Arora and Kailash Ajmera (Members) with Arvind Singhal as the ex-officio member.
