Shauryagarh Resorts, Udaipur was host to the second edition of the Ashoka Cine Awards, held under auspices of the Film City Sangharsh Samiti.

The occasion hosted numerous personalities from the film and television industry,.  Trained and high on performance children and youth were honored at the event.  Chief Guest at the event, Minister of Public Health and Engineering, Sushil Katara, Special Guest Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Shantilal Maru, Sunil Parihar, Narain Singh, Ravi Rao, Dhirendra Sachchan and Dr Vaibhav Parekh were on the dias.

Mangniyar artiste Mame Khan, Pepi Medley Rhyme band from Jaipur enthralled the audience with their performance. Fashion show and Talent show during the event, saw children and youth present their skills with panache to an applauding audience.

Mahiya, the first audio video album featuring Dr. Surbhi Arya, Udaipur’s upcoming Ghazal and Classical singer was launched today, said Mukesh Madhwani of Ashoka. The album has been produced under the joint collaboration of Vision Corporation Ltd and Vayyam Film Production.  The title song of the album has been sung by Dr Surbhi and has been filmed on Surbhi herself, along with Miss Tourism International, model Natasha Singh.

The Awardees

Program coordinator Suryaprakash Suhalka and Shalini Bhatnagar informed that Hiren Jotwani was awarded as Best Child Comedy Artist; while Shloak Agarwal for Best Performer, Bharat Madhwani – Best Debut Actor, Angel Sukhwani – Best Child Dancer, Aditya Paliwal – Best Child Singer in Live Performance, Pal and Chin Vardhman – Best Child Director, Shailendra Suhalka – Best Cinematographer, Himanshu Jain – Best Bollywood anchor, Sushil Kumar Audichya – Best Director Film Making, Dr. Ramesh Joshi – Best Actor on YouTube from Rajasthan and Amit Mishra were the other awardees.  Nandhish Sandhu, TV Actor and Paras Boliya handed over the trophies to the awardees.

Other celebrities who were awarded in the second part of the event included Pratishta Thakur (Bhilwara) – Best character artist in Rajasthani films; Nandkishore (Jaipur) – Best Rajasthani Movie; Chirag Wadhwani (Udaipur) – Best Standup Comedy artist on screen; Dr Sweety Chhabra (Udaipur) – Best Bollywood Stylist Female; Keshave Paneri (Udaipur) – Best Bollywood Director from Rajasthan; Dr. Arvinder (Udaipur) – Best Motivational Documentary; Kirti Rathod (Jaipur)- Best Bollywood Costume Designer;  Mame Khan  (Udaipur) – Best Rajasthani Singer andNandish Sandhu (Dhaulpur) – Best Actor from Rajasthan, who were presented their trophies by Sushil Katara, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Suryaprakash Suhalka, Bindu Sharma and Shalini Bhatnagar.

The third session included an award ceremony to other artists, including Dr Surbhi Arya – Best YouTube singer (Female), Wasim Ahmed – Best Sufi Singer (Male), Upendra Vyas – Best Actor in Series and Advertisements; Anil Dadhich – Best Theatre Artist (Male), Nimisha Bhati – Best Actor (Female), Jaiprakash Sen – Best Bollywood Costume Designer, Saurabh Jain, Lalesh Meghwal, Prem Kumar Jangid and Gaurav Yadav were presented their awards by Kirti Rathod, Mahendra Sojatia, Narainsingh and Ravi Rao.

Bollywood and film journey from 1940 till the 80’s, from 1981 till 2000 and then modern movie making from 2001 onwards were showcased towards the end of the program, drawing thunderous applause from the audience.
