The Riya Soni Advantage to Advent Age Institute
Students of the Advent Age Institute of Management Studies were treated to a Life Skills development session by Riya Soni, the 19 year old Life Skill, Sexuality and Reproductive Health Educator from Udaipur. As the old notion of society being rampaged with notorious teenagers seems to have taken a back seat, Udaipur’s youth can now proudly flaunt of being socially aware and society conscious people, all thanks to Riya Soni and her undying efforts to contribute for a better tomorrow.

As the old notion of society being rampaged with notorious teenagers seems to have taken a back seat, Udaipur’s youth can now proudly flaunt of being socially aware and society conscious people, all thanks to Riya Soni and her undying efforts to contribute for a better tomorrow. Riya Soni, who was born and brought up in Udaipur, shifted to Bangalore to pursue her higher education in BA at the Christ University. Here she became a qualified “Life Skills, Sexuality and Reproductive Health Educator”, and began her de-stressing project “Angels in Your Shadow”. The wheels did not stop turning here, though.
Returning to Udaipur, She diligently put her Life Skills knowledge to the best of use. She was a Guest Lecturer at “Advent Age Institute of Management Studies” and other various institutions where she enlightened young minds with a wide array of knowledge, from self awareness, anger & stress management, communication & relationships to Empathy, Child Sexual Abuse and Personal Safety.
She says, “Because knowledge of one self and life skills bring about a whole new meaning, interest and goodness in life, it is very important for every individual’s holistic growth in the overhauling society”.
“The students of Advent were undoubtedly ecstatic and enthusiastic about re-emerging as better citizens and better human beings; they were not just very communicative and responsive but quick in grasping too because they could relate to all of it”, she added.
The initiative towards incorporating such a lecture on holistic development was encouraged by Sunil Khatri and Aditya Shah, co-founders of Advent.
