After fighting with the prolonged kidney ailment, the renowned theater artist and writer Rizwan Zaheer Usman, 65, passed away today at 4:50pm at his ancestral house near Hathipol. Rizwan Zaheer was suffering from kidney failure and was on dialysis.

According to sources, from last few days his condition was deteriorating and today he took his last breath at his house. Usman, the veteran artist is survived by his wife and children.

Rizwan Zaheer Usman was honored with Lifetime Achievement Award from Rajasthan Sangeet Natya Academy. He was contributing with his writing from last 45 years, he has authored more than 100 stories and 150 plays. Rizwan Zaheer Usman had contributed widely in art, literature, storytelling and drama.

Few months back, Udaipur’s various artists came together to felicitate Rizwan Zaheer Usman and came up with a play, ‘Dialysis’.

Udaipur’s artists as well as citizens of Udaipur offered their hearty condolences on the sad demise of Rizwan Zaheer Usman.
