Kishore Kumar Pahuja, a Chartered Accountant from Udaipur, has initiated a small but extremely thoughtful and considerate help line through his Facebook page, reaching out to Kashmiri students and people in and around Udaipur.  He says that due to this clamp down of regular communication, the students might not be able to communicate their status and needs to their families back home.  Some students and people might be in need of money from their homes in Kashmir, which they are unable to communicate. Kishore Kumar is a practicing Chartered Accountant in Udaipur and is Secretary of Srajan, an NGO, as well as an active social worker in the Sindhi Community.

Subsequent to last weeks ground breaking initiative by the Indian Government, the country is going all out to accept the Jammu and Kashmir into the Indian fold with open arms.

However, to control the law and order situation in the state, the government had earlier initiated a lock down in the state, which included curfew, limited transactions and limited connectivity.  This would mean that those needing to connect with people in Kashmir, friends, family and associates, would not be able to do so, and vice versa.

Hence, Kishore, through his facebook page, has attempted to reach out to students and other from Kashmir, who are currently in and around Udaipur and are in need of financial assistance.  His initiative on Facebook has been supported by others well.
