The Time Entrepreneurs-2016 Felicitation Programme organized by Times of India, Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mahavastu in association with Laxmi Industrial Fair 2016, Niddhi Kamal Nissan, Panasonic and Arth Diagnostic was graced by the presence of the icons of the industry and elite of the town.

The glamorous event opened with Ganesh Puja and welcome of guests who included N.K. Bhargava, Senior Regional Manager, RIICO, Udaipur, V.P. Rathi, President, Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hans Raj Choudhary, Senior Vice President, UCCI, Udaipur, Vikramaditya, Managing Director, Mahavastu, Arvinder Singh, Managing Director Panasea Intelligence, Amit Kumar of Panasonic and Vikas Joshi of Industrial Fair. After lighting of lamps by the guests, started Rajasthan Dance Performance by Agni Band. The awards were given by N.K. Bhargava, V.P. Rathi, Vikramaditya and Arvinder Singh. The next item of the programme was the presentation of mementoes to the guests and the sponsors by Hans Raj Choudhary.

It is home to various growing as well as developed industries that in their own way are contributing to the Prime Minister’s ambitions Mission make In India, a major new national programme designed to facilitate investment, faster innovation, enhance skill development, protect intellectual property and build best in-class manufacturing infrastructure. So it seems to be the right time to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and felicitate those who are making a mark in the field of industry.

The awards to be given were divided into nine categories ranging from marble and minerals to tourism, from engineering to information technology, from real estate and infrastructure to automobile and from CSR to medical and pharma.

Those who bagged the award in tourism category were Jitesh Kumawat of Hotel. Ambience, Doly Taldar of Ramada Udaipur Resort and Spa, and Rishit Bhandari of Baba Jaisamand Island Resort. For valuable services in the field of engineering, Prem Menaria of Prem Engineering, Praveen Suthar of Lotus Hi Tech Industries and Chandra Prakash Sharma of Rosava Engineering Company were felicitated.

The 3 awards in marble industry category went to Manish Lodha of Padam Shree Marble, Vaibhav Siroya and Sourabh Siroya of Siddharth Marmo Pvt. Ltd. and Mukesh Modi and Saurabh Modi of Arihant Marble. Whereas the awards in information technology category were won by Pavan Kothari and Mrs. Monika Kothari of Hardware Institute of Network Technology, Lokendra Ranawat of Woodenstreet. Com, and Madhukar Dubey and Mrs. Shweta Dubey of Fusion Outsourcing Software Pvt. Ltd.

Honoured in the real estate and infrastructure category were Hassan Aftab Paliwala of IKP Developers, SB Gupta of Riddhi Siddhi Infraproject Pvt. Ltd. and S.K. Khetan of S.K. Khetan Infraproject Pvt. Ltd.

Anis Miyaji of Nobel Bearing and Tools Co., Anil Mishra, Vice President, J.K. Tyre and Industries Ltd. and L.N. mathur and Prayank mathur of Navneet Motors excelled in the automobile category. The awardees in the Corporate Social Responsibility class were Mukesh Choudhary, President Rotary Mewar, B.S. Sharma LIC of India and Vikas Sharma COO, Vedanta Hindustan Zinc.

The awards in the mining category went to Sunil Lunawat of Aravali Minerals and Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd., Vivek Patni and P. Patidar of R.K. Marble and Dinesh Kothari of Rajasthan State Minerals and Mines Corporation. The winners in the Medical and Pharma category were Jayant Gupta of Arawali Tech,

Dinesh Mandawat and Pankaj Mandawat of Sadhna Ayurvedic Pvt. Ltd. and Vinod Kumbhat of Corporate Channels India Pvt. Ltd.

In addition to these awards, there were 4 special awards. Anshul Mogra, Director, Shilpa Trade Links Pvt. Ltd. was given Times Best Practices in Management Award 2016. Chhatrasal Singh Bagela of HRH Group of Hotels won the Times Best Heritage Hotels Award 2016. To Kshitiz Murdia went Times Young Entrepreneur Award 2016. On behalf of Arvind Singhal, MD Wolkem India Ltd., Gorang Singhal received the Times Life Time Achievement Award 2016.

The tough task of selecting the winners out of a whole lot of entries was performed by a high powered jury that included Prof. I.V. Trivedi, VC, MLSU, Udaipur, Hans Raj Choudhary, Arvinder Singh and Arun Mandot, Managing Director, Sun College of Management and Science Udaipur.

AMBIENCE

Celebrated on the spacious lawns of Lakend Hotel on the bank of the famous Fatehsagar lake on a moonlit evening, the event turned out to be memorable for the awardees and their close ones and highly enjoyable for all others who joined in. The prelude with the lilting songs of a wide variety presented by a singing group and the enchanting Rajasthani folk dances by gorgeously clad dancers gave a festive touch to the programme.
