Udaipur bids Adieu to 27th West Zone Inter University Youth Fest27th West Zone Inter University Youth Festival which began on 5th December culminated today on 9th December at the MLSU auditorium.

The Chief Guest of the event was Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Government. of Rajasthan. Gajendra Singh Shaktawat, MLA, was the special guest. The other dignitaries to grace the occasion were Rajni Dangi, Chairperson, Municipal Council; Sajjan Kattara, MLA; S.M. Kant and Samsun David.

The event comprised of the prize distribution ceremony and special performances by the participants.

Banasthali Vidhyapith, Jaipur was the overall winner of the 27th West Zone Inter University Youth Festival and Mumbai College was the runner up.

Banasthali Vidhyapith also stood first in theater. While Amravati College bagged the first prize in dance, Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Marathavad College stood first in Fine Arts. Literary competition was won by Devi Ahilya College, Indore and Music category award was taken by Mumbai College.

Udaipur bids Adieu to 27th West Zone Inter University Youth FestWhile addressing the assembly, Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya said, “Youth is the strength of our nation. It’s because of youth that India has a position in the world.” Losing himself in the mood of festivity, Malviya also sang a Wagdi song.

Quoting a famous phrase ‘Success is not important and failure is not final’, Shaktawat said, “Youth should never abandon the path of their dreams and must work hard in every situation to achieve their goals.”

Understanding the need for medical facilities in the University, Shaktawat announced to give an amount of Rs. 10 lakh for the Health Center. Rajni Dangi also assured help from the Municipal Corporation in constructing a new auditorium with more seating capacity.

We saw not only the competition, but also the image of faith, patience and courage in these past 5 days. This festival has bought a lot of joy with it to the University in the form of important collaborations.”

Concluding the event Prof. K.C. Sodani, Dean, Students Welfare, thanked all the participants and the organizers for their cooperation.
