Udaipur boy sets World Record

Shashank Sunder Jain, a 14-year old from Udaipur set a world record winning 5 golds and one silver in the recently concluded Turkey Mental Open Championship in Istanbul. 

Shashank, belonging to Vallabhnagar Tehsil in Udaipur district, achieved this record winning the mental square root, flash anzan, mental addition, mental multiplication and mental division events. He won 5 gold medals and a silver medal (calendar date event) achieving the overall first position.

Currently staying in Vapi, Shashank was accompanied by fellow participants Gunishka Jain, Yash Jain, Siddhi Jain, Mulund and Jinisha Dedhiya.

Training at Genius Kids Sansthan, Shashank gave the credit of the achievement to his coach Peter Noranha and the teaching staff.

Shashank will now leave for USA on Nov 4 to participate in the mental calculation world olympiad 2016 to be held from Nov 7,2016.
