Udaipur celebrated the 65th Independence Day of India with the great fervor, enthusiasm and a deep sense of patriotism in the customary fête that took place at Bhandari Darshak Mandap ground.
Udaipur celebrated the 66th Independence Day of India with the great fervor, enthusiasm and a deep sense of patriotism in the customary fête that took place at Bhandari Darshak Mandap ground.
Colorful performances by over 1000 school students added flavor to the ceremony post the traditional parade. The parade was led by troops of Scout and Guide, NCC and Police Personnel followed by police-band playing rhythms of devotion on the motherland.
Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya, Minister for Tribal and Rural Area Development and Panchayati Raj unfurled the national flag and took the salute at the ceremony. Later, addressing the crowd, Malviya expressed the feeling of Independence and remembered the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s freedom.
Thereafter, achievers from various fields were honored for their performances including students for their remarkable academic performances, professionals from government and non-government sectors for their outstanding work and social workers who dedicated their life for any noble cause. They were given letter of appreciation from the Minister of Tribal area Development.
Subodh Agrawal – Divisional Commissioner, Hemant Gera – District Collector, TC Damor – I.G Udaipur, Hariprasad Sharma – S.P, Roop Kumar Khurana – UIT Chairman and other top officials were present in the function.
