Udaipur Cyclist completes record Road Trip to Ranthambore in 36hours

Disseminating the cause of Tiger conservation in a unique manner

 
Ranthambor Tiger Reserve Udaipur Cycling Club member Chhagan Mali completes 840km to and fro between Udaipur and Ranthambore in a record 36 hours

Chhagan Mali, a member of the Udaipur Cycling Club took upon himself to spread the message of Tiger Conservation in a very unique manner. He embarked on a cycle ride from Udaipur to Ranthambore Tiger Reserve to spread awareness on the dual cause of Tiger conservation and environmental conservation.

He began his two wheeled pedalling adventure at midnight of 1 March and returned to Udaipur at 3pm on 4 March. This 840km journet was completed by him in a record 36 riding hours.

Chhagan began his tryst from Udaipur and pedalled through Chittor, Bhilwara, Mandal, Shahpura, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur to reach Ranthambore and returned on his cycle through the same route. In the interim he spent time at the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and collected more information about Tiger Sanctuaries and conservation so as to spread the awareness message.

This complete cycling journey was completed by Chhagan without the help of a pilot vehicle. He was also in a fit condition and did not require any medical assistance all through the journey. Members of the Udaipur Cycling Club welcomed him on his return.
