An Indian Girl, starring Mrs Earth / Mrs India Priyanka Khurana Goyal, co-written by Udaipur's Sumit Menaria and Directed by Udaipur's Saurabh Lakshkar has won 14 awards at various domestic and interenational film festivals.
While Mrs India Priyanka is the only Indian to have the Mrs Earth title, her foray into Bollywood was announced with An Indian Girl, which got her the Best Actress award for her potrayal of 4 different characters in the movie. Her potrayal of four different girls in her debut movie, all from different backgrounds, facing different problems and each with their individual perseverance coming out on the winning side, has helped her bag laurels.
An Indian Girl is not Saurabh's maiden venture. He has directed and produced many short films, advertisements and web series in Udaipur and Mumbai. His novel, 26/11 - A Love Story based on the tragic Mumbai Bomb blasts of 2008 was also well received. Saurabh has also done a music video, which is set for release soon, under a big banner.
Saurabh's An Indian Girls has been awarded in 14 national and international festivals and is set for a release on multiple OTT platforms. His web series, a crime show featuring well known actors from the industry has already completed 5 episodes on F13, another OTT platform.
The story of the film is based on the lives of four girls - living in completely different circumstances. They all have their own nature, problems and circumstances and how these girls handle and fight with their challenges is what An Indian Girl is all about. Surprisingly all these four roles has been performed by Mrs. India and Mrs. Earth Priyanka Khurana Goyal as the lead actress. Other cast includes Rajvir Singh Thakur, Abhi Khurana, Mac Lara, Mayur, Shishu Singh, Tribhuvan Mishra, Shiva Talreja, Balram Atude and Yuvaan Goyal. The Director of photography is Yashwant Sahu and the Music is composed by Sahil Jonas. Produced by 'VPR Entertainment', the co-writer of the film is Sumit Meneria, well known for his Novel ‘Tashree’.
