Udaipur girl who topped Rajasthan in NEET exam dedicates success to Mom

Chhavi Harkawat had topped Rajasthan in the NEET exam result that were declared yesterday and also secured an All India rank of 17 amongst 10.9 Lakh candidates. Chhavi dedicated her success to her mother and her constant encouragement and efforts.

Chhavi Harkawat had topped Rajasthan in the NEET exam result that were declared yesterday and also secured an All India rank of 17 amongst 10.9 Lakh candidates. Chhavi dedicated her success to her mother and her constant encouragement and efforts.

National Entrance and Eligibility Test (NEET) is conducted for admissions into the MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges throughout the country.

Speaking about her success, Chhavi said that the credit for her success goes to her mother Dr Kumud Intodia. Dr Kumud is a Professor in Chemistry in Meera Girls college. Dr Kumud had herself taken the medical entrance exam in 1983 but could not clear the exam and hence was unable to fulfil hr dream of become a doctor.

Dr Kumud was very particular that Chhavi clears the medical entrance and becomes a doctor. Hence, she started personally tutoring Chhavi in Science and Chemistry from Class VI onwards. Dr Kumud also used to do a daily up-down from Nathdwara to tutor Chhavi when Dr Kumud was posted in Nathdwara.

Chhavi said that it was her maternal grand father’s dream that his daughter i.e. Dr Kumud becomes a doctor and treats the needy. She will now fulfil grand father’s dream.

Chhavi intends to pursue her medicine studies from Maulana Azad Medical College Delhi.
