Gunjan Vaishnav, a young resident of Udaipur, has made an inspiring decision to undertake a bicycle journey to Ayodhya. Starting on January 5, 2024, he plans to cover a distance of around 1500 kilometers in approximately 10 days, with the aim of reaching Ayodhya by January 15. Gunjan's purpose for this remarkable journey is to seek blessings from Lord Rama. His journey is not just a physical one but also a spiritual quest, as he carries the aspiration of connecting with the divine during this unique adventure.
The day after, the statue of Lord Rama will go on a city tour in Ayodhya, and Gunjan will attend this. After that, he will go to Varanasi. In Ayodhya, on January 22, there will be a special ceremony for Lord Rama. Once this ceremony is done, and people are allowed to visit, Gunjan plans to go back to Ayodhya.
Gunjan recently went on a bike ride from Udaipur to Kedarnath. He began on October 16 and traveled 1300 kilometers, passing through four states. Each day, he visited a new temple during the journey. He arrived at Kedarnath on November 10, 2023. This time, the route is longer, and he has less time. To handle this, Gunjan is planning to ride more kilometers each day.
Gunjan from Gogunda is all set for his journey, carrying a tent with him. Along the way, he plans to take breaks and, surprisingly, read parts of the Ramayana during these stops. When he reaches Ayodhya, his aim is to finish reading the entire Ramayana. Along the route, he also intends to visit temples. His daily goal is to ride his bicycle for 100-150 kilometers.
Gunjan said he have been getting ready for the trip to Ayodhya for a month now. They picked a route through Chittorgarh, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Hindaun City, Agra and Lucknow to reach Ayodhya. Gunjan mentioned that he will mostly stay at police stations overnight. He is also practicing carrying only essential things for the journey.
