Udaipur Artist Hemant Joshi's Artworks to Exhibit at Jehangir Art Gallery

The renowned sculptor from Udaipur, Hemant Joshi, will showcase his artworks at the world-famous Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai starting September 24, 2024. This seven-day exhibition follows a successful display at Shivam Kalangan in Sukher, Udaipur.

The event was inaugurated by Rahul Jain, Commissioner of UDA, along with Dr. Ajay Murdia, a well-known industrialist and Bollywood film producer. They launched the exhibition catalog and wished success to sculptor Joshi.

During the event, Commissioner Jain praised artists for their ability to breathe life into stone, emphasizing the need to encourage their work. He mentioned that UDA plans to incorporate Joshi’s art into future projects.

Dr. Murdia shared his journey from the medical field to the art world, inspired by the dedication of various artists. He described Joshi's artworks as unique and of a high standard of craftsmanship. He also highlighted the Kashti Foundation's efforts to preserve art and support artists. The program began with a classical singing performance by Dr. Bhumika Dwivedi, Head of the Music Department at Jai Narain Vyas University in Jodhpur.

During the program, a large number of art and culture enthusiasts were present, including TRI Director O.P. Jain, Kashiti Foundation head Shraddha Murdia, Nitya Singhal, educator Prerna Nausalya, architect Sunil Laddha, writer Kapil Paliwal, theater artist Deepak Dixit, Sandeep Rathore, Sunil Bhatt, Sofia Nalwaya, Neeraj Jain, Radhika Agarwal, painter Rahul Mali, Nilofer Munir, Dr. Prashika Dwivedi, Vipul Vaishnav, and Manish Kothari. The program was hosted by storyteller Rajat, while Sunil Laddha conducted the vote of thanks.
