Udaipur Photojournalist to get International Award
Once again, Udaipur’s photojournalist Tarachand Gawariya has proved his skills and exhibited the excellent example of photojournalism. Gawariya, 31, has been awarded a gold medal in an international photo competition for his photograph of Kumbh Mela.

The award “JPS International Solon, Photo Travel Session” will be given by Jodhana Photo Journalist Society on 28th April. Jodhana is a group based in Jodhpur, dedicated to photography and photojournalism.
Amit Vyas, Secretary of the society informed that the selection committee has chosen Tarachand Gawariya’s photo out of the 8164 entries received from more than 50 countries for the annual photography competition.
Other than Tarachand Gawariya, two other photographers from India, two from China and a photographer from Indonesia will receive the honor.
Tarachand has clicked photographs of Hindu saints gathered at Kumbh Fair in India.
Tarachand is photojournalist at Dainik Bhaskar, Udaipur.
