Udaipur Singer to be Honored on Republic Day
Mangi Bai Arya, a traditional Mand singer from Prapatgarh, Udaipur will be awarded with Commendation Letter at the state level function organized on the occasion of Republic day at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur. Mangi Bai is the proud winner of the State Award of Government of Rajasthan in 2007 and a title of Mand Gayika by the Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Academy in 2008 for her priceless contribution of Mand Music in Rajasthani Composition.

Mangi Bai is the proud winner of the State Award of Government of Rajasthan in 2007 and a title of Mand Gayika by the Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Academy in 2008 for her priceless contribution of Mand Music in Rajasthani Composition.
She is one of the most classified artists of All India Radio and Doordarshan. She has also given her melodious voice to many television serials based on Rajasthani culture.
She has performed at various places all across the country like Apna Utsav in Mumbai, Mahabharat Utsav at Kurukshetra and the Mand Samaroh organized by the Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Academy.
“Rajasthan Ke Maand Geet” is the book written by Mangi Bai on the theme of Mand which is one of the prominent styles of singing in Rajasthani music.
Mangi Bai has inherited her talent in singing from her ancestors. She took her early education in music from her father Kamal Raam. Mangi Bai has also given training of Mand singing in WZCC for 20 years.
