Udaipur Star Shines at Tehran
Kushal Babel of Resonance and MDS Udaipur was selected among top 6 students from India to represent Indian Team in the 9th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) to be conducted in Tehran, Iran in December 2012.
Kushal Babel of Resonance and MDS Udaipur was selected among top 6 students from India to represent Indian Team in the 9th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) to be conducted in Tehran, Iran in December 2012. In this exam, 200 students of 40 countries went through a tough test. A success in this test will give Kushal a chance to get preference and scholarship with direct admission in top 20 Universities of the world.
Kushal will also be able to undergo research programmes in best Science & Research Educational Institutions of the country without an entrance exam.
Kushal was amongst 35 students who had been shortlisted for OCSC after the first two stages of written Test which were NSEJS & INJSO. He cleared the stage -1 conducted in November 2011 & was amongst 580 odd students who were short listed for Stage-2 which was held on 28th January this year. He cleared Stage-2 also & managed a place for himself in the Top 35 who had been shortlisted for OCSC.
INJSO is a prestigious examination conducted by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) in India for students from the Science stream. The Exam is conducted in 5 stages. Stage-1 is conducted by Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) while remaining stages are conducted by HBCSE.
The examinations consist of three separated tests, done in different days. The tests require knowledge about science of physics, chemistry and biology. The maximum score is 100 points.
Kushal has been studying at Resonance Udaipur for the last 4 academic session in the Pre-foundation Career Care Program (PCCP) Division & have performed exceptionally well in all competitive & talent reward examinations in Udaipur City as well as outside.
Next IJSO (10th IJSO) will held at Mumbai, India
