Udaipur Startup Turns Tribal Produce into Premium Products... The Herbal Hug Story
Udaipur startup owner Bhuvan Dadhich’s Herbal Hug brand connects farmers directly to consumers, offering pure herbal products while increasing farmer income and reducing waste
Udaipur, Feb 15, 2026 - In the heart of Udaipur, where tradition meets enterprise, a new wave of conscious commerce is taking root. Entrepreneurs are eliminating the middle-man concept and empowering local farmers by taking their products directly to the consumer. By leveraging digital platforms, community marketplaces and direct-to-consumer logistics, these startups innovators are enabling local farmers to sell their produce without relying on large distributors or retail chains.
Bhuvan Dadhich is one such city-based entrepreneur who with his brand - Herbal Hug – is bridging the gap between farmers and health-conscious homes. Born with a humble yet powerful mission, Herbal Hug sources pure, farm-fresh produce directly from local growers and delivers them to customers at honest, affordable prices. This approach not only increases farmers’ profit margins but also ensures fresher products and greater price transparency for consumers.
Talking to Razia Sanwari of UdaipurTimes, Bhuvan says his company is passionate about bringing its customers the purest and healthiest seeds and herbal products straight from Nature. His startup cuts out intermediaries, reduces waste, shortens supply chain and strengthens trust between the grower and buyer. From nutrient-rich amla and potent moringa powder to natural honey and a wide variety of wholesome seeds, Herbal Hug products, says Bhuvan, carries the essence of purity and care. Herbal Hug specialises in premium-quality seeds like chia, sunflower and pumpkin, along with amla candies and herbal gulal for an all-natural experience. He claims to have processed sapota candy for first time to utilise the sapota grown in southern Rajasthan.

Bhuvan’s startup Lariox Productions LLP was launched during Covid-19 after he noticed that because of lack of knowledge and improper transportation, local growers were suffering losses, especially at a time when the world was going through difficulties. He believed this problem could be resolved if farmers were able to move their produce through the right channels. It is then when Bhuvan’s food-processing unit was launched.
Food Processing Unit
“Our business is associated with the food processing sector and we make high-nutrient products from forest produce available in the tribal areas of Mewar region”, he explains, adding that the aim is to reduce food wastage, increase farmers’ income and provide hygienic and pure products to the consumer. “We ensure farmers receive fair value for their produce while consumers enjoy premium quality without the premium price tag.”
At the beginning, Bhuvan says the company faced several challenges, which are usually so with startups, including arranging modern machinery and obtaining licence and FSAI registration. It was also crucial to create recognition for his brand, win customer trust and increase brand awareness.
After the initial hiccups, the startup took off as consumer trust grew. This is because Herbal Hug products are 100% herbal, quality-tested and hygienic, claims the entrepreneur.

The produce are directly purchased from local farmers and the finished products made available at “low price, high quality and in hygienic packaging” through social media and digital marketing as well as on ecommerce platforms. Additionally, the company has collaborations with retail stores and local distributors.
“We also participate in food expos across India highlighting our quality and priority of customer satisfaction,” says Bhuvan.
Future Plans
Looking ahead, Bhuvan is hoping to increase production capacity significantly and try to bring in more unique products into the market from time to time. He is also looking to take his business to other States and move into export. Bhuvan also wants to do whatever it takes to establish the quality of Herbal Hugs, including attaining ISO or other quality certifications.
“We believe in the power of Nature, and our goal is to deliver this goodness to you, enriching your life with wholesome, nutritious products,” says the entrepreneur.
Rooted in Udaipur’s soil and driven by trust, the brand is nurturing healthier lifestyles while empowering local agriculture — proving that when farmers prosper, everyone thrives. Ultimately, this movement fosters sustainable agriculture, revitalises rural economies and builds resilient food systems rooted in fairness and connection.
