Udaipur trio and Karnataka post poll Congress JDS Alliance – Creating new waves in Election Campaigning

Despite being in their twenties, this trio from Udaipur is creating waves in the election industry in India.  Having participated in the political election campaigning for one national election and 6 state elections over the last 4 years, the trio are giving a new definition to election campaigning as they move forward with success state by state.

Diggaj Mogra, Divya Walwan and Anirudh Purohit of Udaipur began their tryst with election campaigning way back in 2013 when they joined a volunteers in the Anna Hazare movement then.  They have created a niche for themselves since then.   The trio were also a part of the Prashant Kishore’s team which spearheaded the Narendra Modi campaign.  Since then they have moved out and have began their own outfit, carving out a niche for themselves, working for famous politicians across states in the last 4 years.  None of their campaigns have lost the elections.

Having worked with Prashant Kishore in 2014 for the National elections, they also did a stint with him in the 2015 Bihar elections for Nitish Kumar and then with Captain Amrinder Singh in Punjab in 2016.  After the split with Prashant Kishore, they started out on their own and were a part of Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani’s personal campaigning team.  Having managed to win 6 out of the 8 seats in the hub of the Patel revolution in Gujarat’s Rajkot, they helped Rupani secure a win with more than 50,000 votes in the historic win.  This was when they changed the slogan from “Rajkot Vijayi Bhava” to “Rajkot ka Beta, Gujarat ka Neta”, that created a needed alignment between the candidate and the voting junta.  This slogan was promoted aggressively through social media, street plays, door-to-door marketing, SMS, recorded messages and the like.

DK Shivkumar, who was the spearhead behind the proactive post poll alliance between Congress and JDS in the hyped Karnataka assembly election, was the latest client of the election champions from Udaipur.  Having been hired by Shivkumar, the trio set up a 24×7 war room where 8 people worked from office while 29 people worked on the ground.  Real time reports from booths  were provided to the office staff which compiled data on a real time basis.  DK Shivkumar got the necessary ground reports much before the results were announced.  Indications of probable wins, independent winners, seat counts, etc helped Shivkumar gauge the situation and proactively get the Congress JDS post poll alliance in place before the other side could do anything much about it.  The rest as they say, is history.
