Bharat Verma, renowned dancer and choreographer from our very own city of lakes Udaipur, has recently choreographed dance steps for actor-director Farhan Akhtar.

Choreographer Bharat Verma taught a very specific step to Actor Farhan Akhtar. This step is known as Body Percussion. The steps are for Farhan’s upcoming Bollywood movie “Lucknow Central”. Viewers can witness these special steps in the song “Teen Kabootar” in this movie.

Bharat trained for Body Percussion from America. He has taught these steps to various other artists which include Gippy Grewal, Deepak Dobriyal(Tanu weds Manu), Inam Ul Haq, Rajesh Sharma etc.  Bharat says that apart from dance, this special step will be seen in many other scenes of the movie.  Bharat also runs a Dance academy in Mumbai.

He is known as the dance maniac of Udaipur. He is owner and founder of Heartbeators Dance Academy. Children from different age group learn dance from him. In Bharat Verma’s words, “Dancing is like a poetry written with feet, expressed with body and felt with the soul”.
